On May 4, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department organized a warrant service with officers from the department, LaGrange County Sheriff’s Reserve officers, and officers from the LaGrange, Shipshewana and Topeka police departments. The warrant service sweep was also assisted by K-9 units from the sheriff’s department.
Officers were able to serve warrants that resulted in the arrest of five people on charges ranging from theft to battery.
During the course of serving warrants, officers received a tip regarding a 15-year-old female who had been reported as a runaway from Noble County. Officers located the juvenile at a residence on the north side of Big Turkey Lake, reportedly in the company of two adults – 21-year-old Joseph Stephen of Angola and 24-year-old Bryan Rowlison of LaGrange.
Officers reportedly located a bag containing a white, powder-like substance they believed was methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the consumption of controlled substances, all in plain view. The three subjects were taken into custody and a search warrant for the residence was secured from the LaGrange County Superior Court.
According to the sheriff’s department, the search produced evidence of the manufacturing of meth, along with meth and additional paraphernalia.
Stephen and Rowlison were taken to the LaGrange County Jail on initial charges of Possession of Meth, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
The juvenile was taken to Ft. Wayne Youth Services, pending criminal charges.

Lois Miller, 33, of Wolcottville for Theft, a Class D Felony.
