Wanted person investigation leads to drug arrests

On Saturday, Jan. 18, officers from the Wolcottville Police Department went to 502 Wabash St. in Wolcottville regarding a possible wanted person.

    During the investigation, officers allegedly noticed illegal activity which led to investigation into a drug-related case. Inside the residence, officers allegedly located several items associated with the possession of marijuana and methamphetamine as well as paraphernalia items used to consume the illegal substances.

    Shane M. Himes, 33, of Wolcottville was arrested on charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Howard "Cotton" Williams, 73, was arrested on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony, Possession of Marijuana, a Class D felony, and Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Assisting the Wolcottville Police Department was the Rome City and Topeka Police departments.
