Wanetia Eash

 

Wanetia Katie Eash, 81, LaGrange, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Life Care Center of LaGrange.

    She was born March 9, 1931 in LaGrange County to Jacob J.M. and Katie D. (Christner) Miller.

    Living most of her life in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

    She was married November 22, 1951, in LaGrange County, to Freeman D. Eash. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1990.

    Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathryn and Daniel Hostetler, Shipshewana, and Loretta Johnson, Mishawaka, Ind.; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Wilbur L. Eash, Holland, Mich., Jerry W. and Mary Eash, Wawaka, Ind., Orla F. and Elma Eash, LaGrange, Lloyd F. Eash, Shipshewana, and Homer F. and Rose Eash, Shipshewana; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna E. Miller, Middlebury; and two brothers, Obie J. Miller and Amcie Miller, both of Goshen.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Mary Alice Eash, three sisters, and five brothers.

    Visitation is after 3 p.m. Thursday, January 24, and all day Friday, January 25, at the Orla F. Eash residence, 4105S 300W in LaGrange.

    Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at the Ora Bontrager residence, 8255W 100S in Shipshewana, with Bishop LeRoy Troyer and home ministers officiating.

    Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
