Wanda Landers

 

Wanda L. (Bateman) Landers, 69, Wolcottville, died Monday, March 12, 2012.

    She was born October 2, 1942, in Kendallville, to Don and Jane (Wilson) Bateman. 

    Living all her life in LaGrange County, she was the owner of CarQuest Auto Parts in LaGrange, which she and her husband Marion started in 1976.  She was a member of South Milford Church of Christ and Rome City American Legion Auxiliary.

    She was married June 12, 1959, in Wolcottville, to Marion Landers. He preceded her in death.

    Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Curt and Mary Catherine Landers and Jack Landers; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Mike Todd; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Erika Todd, Megan and Brody Logan, Ashley and Mike Rocchio, Kati Todd, Jami and Matt Beck, Morgan and Damian Schmitt, Kyle Landers, Trent Landers and fiancé Ashley Miller, and Molly Landers; three great-grandchildren, Avery and Asher Beck and Kellen Rocchio; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Vicky Bateman and Don and Melanie Bateman.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Erin Todd.

    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at South Milford Church of Christ in Wolcottville.

    Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at South Milford Church of Christ in Wolcottville with Pastor James Mertz officiating.

    Burial will be in South Milford Cemetery, South Milford.

    Memorials may be directed to South Milford Church of Christ or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
