Walter Webb

Walter L. “Butch” Webb, 67, Wolcottville, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

    He was born July 24, 1947, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., to Leonard S. and Jeanette E. (Waters) Webb.

    Moving to the area in 1970, he was a farmer and truck driver for Super Seed in LaGrange. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of LaGrange American Legion Post 215, Plato United Methodist Church, and Meridian Sun Lodge #76 F&AM and York Rite.

    He was married June 17, 1972, in Auburn, Ind., to Dorothy M. Kohn. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2007.

    Surviving are three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Don Hooper, Columbia City, Ind., Velma Godsey, Rome City, and Becky and Randy Owens, Wolcottville, and Arthur Stacy, Emmalena, Ky.; close friend Jay Middleton, Wolcottville; and many cousins and friends.

    He was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlene Walburn and Vickie L. Stacy.

    Visitation is 57 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.

    Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Carldean Merrifield officiating.

    Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.

    Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children.
