Vernon H. Roth, 76, Shipshewana, died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1937, in Cass County, Mo., to Harvey and Mary Ada (Hershberger) Roth.
He worked at Mishler Packing and was a farmer, truck driver, and Amish taxi driver. He was a member of Forks Mennonite Church, Men for Missions, and the LaGrange Trottingbred Association.
He was married June 7, 1958 to Julia Miller. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2012.
Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Roth, Shipshewana; three sons, Gary (Kathy) Roth, Keith (Gayle) Roth, and Robert (Julie) Roth, all of Shipshewana; six grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Roth, Goshen, Ind., and Frances Stalter, Eureka, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert L. Roth.
Visitation is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, at Forks Mennonite Church in Middlebury.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, at Forks Mennonite Church in Middlebury with Reverend Eugene Bontrager and Reverend Phil Yoder officiating.
Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana.
