Vernia McKee, 75, LaGrange, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Life Care Center of LaGrange.
She was born November 10, 1938, in Floyd County, Ky., to Andrew and Evie (Hicks) Hicks.
Living most of her life in LaGrange County, she was an assembler at Dometic Corporation in LaGrange from 1964 until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Center in Sturgis, Mich.
She was married November 20, 1964, in Sturgis, Mich., to Harold F. “Butch” McKee. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Melvin Martin, Angola, Ind., Stan McKee and girlfriend Joyce Rumsey, Angola, Ind., and Steve McKee and girlfriend Melissa Hopkins, Angola, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie and Cliff Watson, Warren, Ohio, and Nancy Holbrook, Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Virgil Hicks, Sturgis, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 20, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Pastor Glenn P. Middleton officiating.
Burial is in Ontario Cemetery, rural Howe.
