Two-vehicle accident injures one

A two-vehicle accident on November 1 injured one person. One of the drivers was arrested at the scene, while the other has charges pending.

    According to the police report, a 1992 Chevy 1500 pickup driven by Jeremy Boyer, 36, of CR 200S was traveling eastbound in the 11000 block of CR 650S when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2006 Ford F350 truck driven by Daniel VanWye, 43, of Hudson, Ind., that was traveling westbound on CR 650S.

    Boyer had to be extricated from his truck by the Stroh Fire Department. He was then airlifted to Parkview Main Hospital. With lacerations to his arm and face and possible internal injuries.

    VanWye was arrested at the scene for operating while intoxicated (OWI) with a serious injury accident and taken to the LaGrange County Jail. Boyer allegedly tested 0.27 blood alcohol level and OWI charges are pending.

    Both trucks were totaled.

    Assisting at the scene was Parkview EMS and the Stroh Fire Department.
