Two arrested after warrant service

 

On May 16, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department attempted to serve a warrant at a residence in the 4000S block of CR 1170E. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department had requested that the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department attempt to locate Kayla D. Wallace, 22, of rural Stroh.

    According to the police report, deputies found Wallace and Tyler Collins, 22, of Garrett at the residence. Upon making contact, deputies detected odors consistent with the consumption of controlled substances coming from the bedroom where Wallace and Collins were found. A search of the room resulted in the discovery of substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana as well as paraphernalia.

    Wallace was arrested on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D felony, Possession of Marijuana with Prior Conviction, a Class D felony, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor. Collins was arrested on charges of Possession of Meth, a Class D felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D felony, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.

    Both were taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
