Two arrested after traffic stop

 

Shortly after 5 a.m. on Feb. 26, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department made a traffic stop on a disabled vehicle in the area of CR 500W and US 20. During the investigation, both the driver and the passenger were found to have suspended driver’s licenses.

Also during the investigation, LaGrange County Police Department K-9 Esko made a positive alert on the vehicle, leading officers to locate a small amount of marijuana in the center console and floorboard of the vehicle.

The driver, Ashley Redding, 25, of South Bend was arrested on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana. She was also cited for driving while suspended and no valid proof of financial responsibility. A passenger, Jessica Harrison, 27, also of South Bend, was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.

Both were booked into the LaGrange County Jail.
