Joseph Trost’s eighth-place effort of 16:24.7 led the Lakeland boys cross country team at the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational this past Saturday.
Laker teammate Eric Herber finished 12th overall in a clocking of 16:37.0. Grabbing 18th position was Kyle Burchett in a mark of 17:01.0.
Also competing for Lakeland were Garett Chrisman (27th in 17:24.7), Kaleb Wadsworth (48th in 18:12.0) and Dustin Riehl (55th in 18:50.0).
Lakeland finished sixth out of 13 teams with a score of 113. West Noble, led by medalist Brandon Arnold (15:31.0), easily captured the team title with 47 points.
