Trampis Sword

Trampis Sword, 53, Shipshewana, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

    He was born February 14, 1964, in Pikeville, Ky., to Samuel and Mary (Patrick) Sword.

     Living nearly his entire life in LaGrange County, the past 20 years in Shipshewana, he was self-employed in the construction and painting industry.

     Surviving are his parents, Samuel and Sherry Sword, Sturgis, Mich., and Mary and Jim Damron, Shipshewana; his soulmate and caregiver, Carla Shepherd, Shipshewana; one daughter, Amber (Shannon) Gingerich, Millersburg, Ind.; one son, Tyler Sword, Shipshewana; two grandchildren, Reagan “Rae Rae” Gingerich and Tavin Gingerich; one half-brother, Randy (Lisa Fields) Ferguson, Anderson, Ind.; one stepsister, Kelli Beers, Sturgis, Mich.; one stepbrother, Jonathan (Darcy) Hill, Columbus, Ind.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

     Visitation is 1:30-2 p.m. Saturday, November 18, at Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes in Sturgis, Mich.

    Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 18, at Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes in Sturgis, Mich., with Reverend Calvin Kolzow officiating.
