Traffic stop results in marijuana arrests

 

On June 12 an officer from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department made a routine traffic stop on a Pontiac Bonneville in the area of 100 Industrial Parkway for driving left of center.

According to the police report, as the deputy approached the vehicle a back seat passenger in the vehicle was attempting to hide something on the floorboard. Officers removed the subject from the vehicle and allegedly found a wooded smoking pipe between the subject’s legs. There was also a positive K-9 alert on the vehicle.

An additional smoking device and marijuana was located in the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded, two adults were transported to the LaGrange County Jail, and a male juvenile was released to his parents.

Austin Wolf, 19, of Pleasant Lake was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

Travis Horrell, 21, who was listed in the arrest log as homeless, was charged with visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. The juvenile male was charged with visiting a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
