Traffic stop nets drug arrest


The LaGrange Police Department reported that an officer stopped a Harley Davidson motorcycle on May 15 that allegedly had an expired license plate.

The driver, Joseph E. Gould, 28, of Wolcottville, was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the police report.

Gould was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and maintaining a common nuisance and was cited for operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement, no insurance, and expired license plates.

Gould’s passenger on the motorcycle, Mallory Norton, 22, of LaGrange was arrested on a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance.

Officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
