Traffic stop leads to two arrests

Two Albion residents were arrested by the LaGrange Police Department and the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department after officers received a tip about the vehicle having stolen license plates and possible drugs inside the vehicle.

Officers stopped the 2002 Ford Explorer around 12:30 a.m. on June 28 near Hawpatch and Townline roads in LaGrange, with Bradley Burr, 34, and Nicole Barden, 28, inside.

Officers reportedly found the pair to be in possession of stolen property, multiple hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.

Barden and Burr were booked on preliminary charges of possession of stolen property, possession of hypodermic needles, and neglect of a dependant.

Assisting in the investigation along with the LaGrange Police Department and LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was the Wolcottville and Topeka police departments.
