Traffic stop leads to meth arrest

Shortly before 11 p.m. on September 1, a LaGrange Police Department K9 unit made a traffic stop on a 1999 Pontiac after the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

According to the police report, during the traffic stop the officer observed a white, powdery substance in plain view.  A search of the vehicle revealed multiple bags containing a white, powdery substance that allegedly field tested positive for methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as Eric Anderson of Kendallville, Ind., was arrested for driving while suspended prior, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Devon Good of LaGrange, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and visiting a common nuisance.
