Topeka Softball results

The second-half schedule in the Topeka Men’s Softball League began last week with six teams starting the slate 2-0.

Streetkids/Wildman Softball and Synergy/AllPro Gas swept their initial foes in the Upper Division. Streetkids/Wildman forged 21-18, 20-4 victories over Larry Yoder. Synergy/AllPro claimed 22-9, 17-13 triumphs over Inferno Reloaded.

Class A Tack & Carriage and Team X Factor got off to a good start in Middle Division I. Class A downed Challenger Door by counts of 15-8 and 17-12. Team X Factor twice shaded Wildcard, 9-6 and 12-11.

Michiana Equipment and the Outsiders began the second half 2-0 in Middle Division II and the Lower Division, respectively. Michiana Equipment bested Miller Milling, 10-6, 19-9. The Outsiders got past Country Style Meats by scores of 9-8 and 5-3.

Four twin-bills ended in splits. First State Bank won the opener over J & R Construction, 5-4, but lost the closer, 7-3. After dropping a 6-5 decision to A & B Landskaping, Dave’s Lawnskaping roared back to take the nightcap, 30-9.

Cedar Creek/Hoopland Farms was a 13-5 victor over D & R Miller Concrete in the first of two, while D & R bounced back to win the second tilt, 17-11. The Silverbacks topped Rock Run Repair, 10-7 in the first game, with Rock Run claiming the second, 18-15.

Topeka Women’s Softball League leaders Community State Bank and Cherokee kept up their winning ways last week.

CSB trimmed RV Transport by scores of 15-5 and 16-5 to improve its season record to 6-0. Cherokee twice clipped B. Lash Home Improvements, 8-3 and 10-0 to move its mark to 5-1.

In the other doubleheader played last week, Cedar Creek hammered out a 16-0, 21-7 sweep of Goshen Collision.
