Topeka Softball League standings

 

The second half of the Topeka Men’s Softball League schedule began this past week.

Cedar Creek and Jamar Slabach each got off to 2-0 starts in the Upper Division with doubleheader sweeps of Connection/MJ Acres (14-4, 25-15) and Royal Motors (8-3, 14-7), respectively. Timber Ridge Golf Course ran its Middle Division mark to 4-0 with single triumphs over Slabach Logging (9-8) and Silverbacks (14-13).

The remaining seven twin-bills played last week ended up in splits. Those games included Champion Well Drilling and Lord’s Seeds (15-5, 11-13), Mike Automotive and Good Time Clock and Watch (13-11, 13-15), Streetkids/MoJo and AllPro Gas (15-3, 15-18), CCAC and ConCreations (17-14, 8-18), Kountry Wood and D & R Miller Concrete (15-4, 6-13), Townline Stables and the Outsiders (9-7, 9-10), and Valleyview Blacksmith and Lavon Yoder (23-12, 6-7).

Autopark kept on the heels of Topeka Women’s Softball League leader Jami Gamble with a split against RV Transport, 12-15, 23-6.

The result left Autopark with a 5-3 mark. Jami Gamble, which was idle last week, stayed atop the standings with a 4-2 slate.

Cedar Creek jumped into a tie for third with Cherokee thanks to a 24-19, 12-9 sweep of Milk Haulers. Cherokee divided a twin-bill with Mary Jo Martin, falling in the opener, 5-4 and winning the nightcap, 7-5.
