Cedar Creek/Hoopland Farms and Streetkids/Mojo kept up their winning ways in the Upper Division of the Topeka Men’s Softball League with doubleheader sweeps last week.
Cedar Creek/Hoopland handled AllPro Gas by counts of 31-11 and 17-6 to raise their first-half record to 9-1. Streetkids/Mojo also improved to 9-1 with victories of 18-7 and 18-8 over Connections/MJ Acres.
The league’s two other division leaders – Jamar Slabach (Middle) and Slabach Logging (Lower) – took the week off. Both of those teams stand 11-1 in their respective loops.
Four other teams earned twin-bill sweeps last week. Champion Well Drilling handled Good Time Watch and Clock Repair, 11-7, 18-8; Sandy Ridge Stables trimmed Townline Stables, 18-3, 8-7; Valleyview Blacksmith took a pair from Lavon Yoder, 15-2, 15-14; and Streamside Woodshop twice shaded Mike’s Automotive, 19-16, 14-11.
Three doubleheaders ended in splits. The Outsiders forged an 18-5 triumph over Townline Stables in their opener, while Townline came back to win the nightcap, 10-2. Kountry Wood rebounded from a 17-10 loss to Lord’s Seeds in the first game to win the second, 18-8. ConCreations topped Royal Motors/RC Recycling, 14-12 in the first of two, with Royal coming back to score a 16-6 win in the closer.
In a single game, the Outsiders tipped Mike’s Automotive, 15-12.

Topeka Women’s Softball League leader Jami Gamble suffered its first loss of the season last week at the hands of Autopark, 12-10.
The Gamble squad came back to win the nightcap over Autopark, 15-11 to maintain its lead in the loop with a 3-1 record.
Autopark slipped into a three-way tie for second with Cedar Creek and Mary Jo Martin, all three sporting 2-2 marks. Cedar Creek split a twin-bill with Cherokee, 2-12, 7-6. Mary Jo Martin also divided a doubleheader with RV Transport, 22-12, 10-11.
