Topeka Cub Connection held

Topeka Elementary School hosted their annual Cub Connection on Thursday, September 3. Cub Connection is an event created for the purpose of uniting parents, teachers, and community members.

A total of 75 families with 118 children attended.  Families were able to choose free books, games, and were eligible for door prizes throughout the evening.

Door prizes were donated by Topeka Elementary staff. Parents were able to attend teacher presentations, visit displays by a variety of community agencies, and enjoy visiting with other parents over desserts that were also donated by staff.

One gift card winner was Kyle Miller, a third grader. He won a $50 Save a Lot gift card. Kyle said, “I was stunned to find that I was one of the winners! I am going to spend it on candy and ice cream.”
