Tommy W. Woodworth, 66, Mongo, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence.
He was born January 24, 1946, in Sturgis, Mich., to Elmer F. and Dorothy L. (Hentzell) Woodworth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from March 1, 1966 to February 10, 1968. He worked at Redman Homes in Topeka for 38 years until retiring in 2008. He was a member of the R/C Club of LaGrange and American Legion Post 215.
Surviving are one son, Steven W and Chris Woodworth, Mongo; one daughter, Rita Marie Hus and Greg Ridel, Howe; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Larry and Paula Woodworth, Cleveland, Ind., Max Woodworth, Mongo, and Jerry and Sandy Woodworth, Scott; one sister, Rachel Swenson, Bushnell, Fla.; his children’s mother, Rita Woodworth, Mongo; and his cat, Francis.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Woodworth, and one sister, Phyllis Hoard.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 3, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 3, at ??? with Reverend James D. Bartlett officiating.
Burial with military rites by American Legion Post 215 will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery.
Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange is in charge of arrangements.
