Terry E. “Chopper” Keck, 56, Wolcottville, died Saturday, October 13, 2012, as a result of an accident while working on a truck at LLC Transport near Wolcottville.
He was born January 13, 1956, in Kendallville, to Ralph Jr. and Dorothy (Suever) Keck.
Living all his life in the area, he was a 1974 graduate of Lakeland High School and a self-employed contractor. He was also a 35-year volunteer of the Johnson Township Fire Department in Wolcottville.
He was married March 13, 1983, in Wolcottville, to Joan E. Bloomfield. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Eric Keck and his companion Holly Ragan, Kendallville; four grandchildren, Kinsey Keck, Dakota Keck, and Madelyn Hogue, all of Manchester, N.H., and Skyler Keck, Kendallville; three stepgrandchildren, Austin, Skyler, and Marissa Ragan; one brother and sister-in-law, Kerry and Shelly Keck, Wawaka; and his stepmother, Lois Turner-Keck, Rome City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel with Pastor Brain VanOsdol officiating.
Private burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
