Teen turns birthday into gifts for Compassion Pregnancy Center

Compassion Pregnancy Centers of Northeast Indiana (CPCNI) was on the receiving end of a birthday wish by a Northridge High School teen.

Lily Price, daughter of Michelle and DeWayne Miller of Middlebury and Rex Price of LaGrange, celebrated her 16th birthday on Jan. 18. She felt all she needed and wanted for her birthday was to help others receive things that they needed. Instead of receiving gifts from family and friends, she asked them to bring baby items to help stock the shelves at CPC’s Baby Shower Store. After an evening of celebration, Price unwrapped diapers, baby wipes, lotions, clothing and other miscellaneous baby items. These are definitely not the typical gifts received at a Sweet 16 birthday party.

Her gift to CPCNI will help meet the needs of mothers that come to the center. They earn merits through the Earn While You Learn incentive program allowing them to make purchases in exchange for earned merits.
