Teen programs at library in May

 

Movie Nights…

The LaGrange County Public Library will be showing the movie “Iron Man: Rise of Technovore” from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 10.

The Topeka Branch Library will be showing the movie “Beautiful Creatures”from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 24.

Both films are rated PG-13, so no one under 13 will be admitted without an adult.

Teen Advisory Board…

Are you a leader who is interested in sharing your ideas about young adult programming at the library? If so, the library is looking for you.

The next available dates for the Teen Advisory Board are: Monday, May 6, from 6-7 p.m. at the LaGrange Branch; Monday, May 13, from 5-6 p.m. at the Topeka Branch; and Friday, May 17, from 5-6 p.m. at Shipshewana Branch.

Teen Tech…

Teens can learn new programs and skills on the computer at this after hours library program.

This month’s program is “Hackasaurus” and will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at the Shipshewana Branch.

Board? Games!

 Play the Wii or challenge your friends to a board game at the LaGrange Branch.

This event will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, and from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at the LaGrange Branch.

CrafterHours…

Join other teens to make awesome crafts. This month’s craft is “Origami.

This vent takes place at the LaGrange Branch from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, and at the Topeka Branch from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.

Teen Book Club…

Teens are invited to come select the book to be read and discussed next month from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at the Shipshewana Branch.
