The LaGrange County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Board of Supervisors will meet in their monthly public session on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The meeting will be held at ParGil Natural Resources Learning Center at 2335 North SR 9 in LaGrange. Everyone interested in natural resources conservation efforts ongoing in LaGrange County is welcome to attend. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., and will be preceded by an executive session at 5:30 p.m.
Agenda items for this month’s public session include a review of minutes from the previous meeting and presentation of the past month’s financial report, District, NRCS and Purdue Extension reports, grant program progress reports, review of the Annual Plan of Work, preliminary planning of the 2014 Annual Meeting, another composting facility tour, and other related items. John Senecal from The Trading Post in Mongo will present a review on the Pigeon River logjam removal project that was completed in September. The presentation will include a slide show of before and after pictures of the project.
