Submerged car call leads to arrest for public nudity

On July 10, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding a vehicle that was in the Pigeon River at 200N and 1200E. The LaGrange County Water Operations Team was activated along with patrol deputies.

According to the police report, a naked man identified as Ian A. Baker, 26, of Sheboygan, Wisc., and a partially-clothed female were located at the scene and the vehicle they were attending had coasted into the river.

Baker was arrested for public nudity and taken to the LaGrange County Jail.

Scuba divers from the Dive Team assisted the wrecker service in removing the vehicle from the river.
