The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced two projects on SR 5 in LaGrange County.
A sight distance improvement project at SR 5 and CR 450N will begin the week of March 26. Demolition work will occur on the northwest corner of this intersection to improve sight and visibility issues for eastbound traffic on 450N.
Asphalt resurfacing on SR 5 in Shipshewana will begin in mid-April. The limits of the project are from US 20 through Shipshewana for 2.5 miles to CR 345N (Country Lane). Work will be performed on Mondays and Thursdays to reduce impact on flea market visitors. Through traffic will be permitted under the direction of flaggers. Restrictions will be lifted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to better accommodate tourism in the town.
Both projects are scheduled to be complete in June.
