Herbs and aromatherapy is one of the topics to be featured at the 8th Annual Spring Symposium presented by Purdue Master Gardeners of LaGrange County from 8 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, in the Shipshewana Event Center. The event center is located at 760 S. VanBuren St. in Shipshewana. The theme of this year’s symposium is “March Into Spring 2014.”

Rosemary Marcon will present “Herbs and Aromatherapy.” Marcon is facility manager of the Shipshewana Event Center. She completed her Master Gardener training in 1999 and is a certified master herbalist. She also worked at an herb garden for 12 years to get hands-on training.

Area vendors will be on hand with a variety of products and services and a silent auction will also be featured with many items waiting for bids. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.

Registration fee includes morning refreshments and lunch. The registration deadline is March 15.
