Spectrum Finishing, in conjunction with the Town of LaGrange and the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation are excited to announce the expansion of Spectrum Finishing at its facilities located in LaGrange.
The tax abatement was requested by M&E Investments, LLC representing Spectrum Finishing, LLC and the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, and was approved unanimously by the Town of LaGrange. The abatement is for a period of ten years and is for a 9,000 sq. ft. building addition, valued at approximately $260,000. The expansion will allow the company greater flexibility with their distribution and logistics operations, which has been taxed with the growth of the furniture industry in LaGrange County and the region. In addition to 10 new jobs being created, an additional 33 jobs will be retained, bringing their total employment to at least 43 employees.
“We are very excited to receive approval from the LaGrange Town Council for our abatement requests on the expansion of our operations. The market for heirloom quality, American made furniture is continually growing and that has necessitated the need for our upcoming expansion” said Ernie Wingard, a partner in M&E Investments, LLC. “We are eager to get this project underway and strengthen our continued partnership with the community.”
"Spectrum Finishing/M&E Investments have been a great partner in the Town of LaGrange and LaGrange County, and we're elated that they have continued to grow within LaGrange County" said Keith Gillenwater, President & CEO of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation. "Their growth is a demonstration of their company’s high quality workmanship. We look forward to continuing to work with Spectrum Finishing and all of our furniture manufacturers as they continue to grow."
