The LaGrange County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet in their monthly public session on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. The meeting will be held at ParGil Natural Resources Learning Center, 2335 N State Road 9, LaGrange. Anyone interested in natural resources conservation efforts ongoing in LaGrange County is welcome to attend. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., and will be preceded by an executive session at 5:30 p.m.
An EQIP Ranking meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. between the executive and public sessions. This meeting is held annually to determine primary natural resource concerns for LaGrange County.
Agenda items for this month’s public session include the following: District, NRCS and Purdue Extension reports, grant program progress reports, and a report from the Cover Crop committee. Also to be discussed will be a review of the Annual Plan of Work, a report on activities held at the 4H Fair, and other related items. A report will be given on the contract awarded for the Pigeon River logjam removal project.
