Shirley Ransom, 73, Shipshewana, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her residence.
She was born January 20, 1940, in LaGrange, to Donald Dean and Dora (Yoder) Tenneant.
She was a homemaker and worked in different area factories.
She was married December 26, 1986, in Elkhart, Ind., to Donald Ransom. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Vicki (Tim) Weaver, Shipshewana, Joan (Dennis) Sivits, Shipshewana, and Kimberly Foreland, Warren; two sons, Keith Jr. (Joan) Shafer, Orland, and Glen (Sharon) Shafer, Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Betty (Charles) Leslie, Kimmel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Delores Dunn, four brothers, Donald, Bob, Jim and Jerry Tennant, and a half-brother, Lester Brandeberry.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 29, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 30, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Howe.
