S&H Metal Products to Expand

S&H Metal Products, Inc. and the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, in conjunction with the Town of Topeka, are excited to announce the expansion of S&H Metal Products at their manufacturing facilities in Topeka.

S&H Metal Products Inc. manufactures a variety of sheet metal products for a broad range of industries, from the recreational vehicle industry to decorative home products. Founded in 1972 in Topeka, S&H Metal products has grown from 2 employees to 25 currently.

The project will include the purchase of approximately $800,700 in new manufacturing equipment that was necessitated by the growth in their current markets, as well as to provide new opportunities for continued growth and diversification. The project is expected to support the creation of at least 3 new jobs paying at least $22.93/hour in addition to the retention of their 25 current employees. The Town of Topeka council, at the request of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, approved the use of personal property tax phase-in on the investment into the new equipment for up to 10 years.

“The new equipment will give us the needed production capacity to fill demand for our products,” said Fritz Helmuth, President of S&H Metal Products, Inc. “This demand is being driven by the both the resurgence of the recreational vehicle industry as well as by our competitive pricing, and we are glad to make this investment in our hometown. We have enjoyed a great relationship with Topeka and LaGrange County over the years, and we are happy to continue to build upon it.”

"S&H Metal Products, Inc. has been a great partner in the Town of Topeka and we're excited that they have continued to expand their operations within LaGrange County" said Keith Gillenwater, President & CEO of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation. "S&H Metal Products, Inc. is a great member of our local business community, and a valued supplier to our large recreational vehicle industry, and is another real success story for an industries resurgence after the recession.”
