Police said the semi, operated by Joseph Bentley of Orlando, Fla., left the roadway at the 122 mile marker around 12:18 p.m. for an unknown reason. After going through the guardrail, it continued over the side of the bridge, where it came to rest in the Fawn River.
Bentley was taken to Parkview Regional Hospital by Samaritan helicopter for unknown injuries.
The Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, LaGrange Police Department, Howe Fire Department, and Parkview EMS.
