The LaGrange County Plan Commission met in special session Friday afternoon and heard that a location near Shipshewana was red tagged for illegally operating a RV manufacturing site.
Code enforcement officer Jason Boggs reported that the company was manufacturing RVs in an old feed mill located at 0225 N 1150W. Boggs said that he informed the operator, Howard Stutzman, that he would need to get a land use variance and site plan approval to manufacture RVs at the location.
Boggs told the board that Stutzman had requested to be allowed to continue manufacturing while working on the variance and site plan approval. He is reportedly applying to the BZA and Plan Commission for the January meetings.
The board agreed that operations would need to cease at that location until the BZA and Plan Commission can take action in January.

Daniel Fry had a site plan to relocate a small engine repair shop approved. The new location is just north of the current spot at 5300 S SR 5, Topeka. The plan calls for a 12,000 sq. ft. building. The approval was conditional on receipt of a storm water plan.
