Ronald LaVern Morton, 50, Wolcottvill, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his residence.
He was born April 17, 1963, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Mary (Atkins) Graham.
Moving from New York to this area 10 years ago, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a self-employed painter.
Surviving are his companion, Linda Cromey, Wolcottville; his mother and father, Mary and Donald Lee Graham, Wawaka, Ind.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathon and Brittany Morton, Jamestown, N.Y.; two sisters, Barbara Birt (Jon Green), Wawaka, Ind., and Cara (John) Sisson, Wawaka, Ind.; one brother, Mark Morton, Jamestown, N.Y.; a half-sister, Tami Morton, Little Valley, N.Y.; two half-brothers, Troy Morton and Todd Morton, both of Western New York; a stepsister, Tracy Cole, Pennsylvania; and a stepbrother, Donald Graham Jr., Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Thomas Morton.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 19, at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Rome City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Rome City with Pastor Steve Herendeen officiating.
Burial with honor guard services by Rome City American Legion Post 381 and Kendallville VFW Post 2749 will be in Orange Cemetery.
