Rodney Sawyer

 

Rodney L. Sawyer,50, rural LaGrange County, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his residence.

    He was born January 17, 1962, in Garrett, to William Allen Jr. and Ruby (Conley) Sawyer.

    He owned and operated A & R Transport and drove for the Amish community. He was a member of the NRA. 

    He was married May 5, 1980, in West Virginia, to Angela Short.  She survives.

    Also surviving are his mother, Jean Sawyer, LaGrange; one son, Jeremy Sawyer, LaGrange; one daughter, Chastity and Chris Eash, LaGrange; four grandchildren, Jerrod Sawyer, Sapphire Sawyer, Jackson Eash, and Silas Eash; three brothers, Chuck and Tina Sawyer, Howe,
Ed and Vada Sawyer, LaGrange,
and David Sawyer, LaGrange;
two sisters, Regina Creech, Wolcottville, and Naomi and Trinity Adamski, Orland; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sherry Sawyer, and one brother, Terry Sawyer.

    Serviceswere held Monday, April 16, at Independent Baptist Church in South Milford with Reverend Willie Collins and Reverend Earl Bolen officiating.

    Burial is in Woodruff Cemetery, Wolcottville.
