Richard F. Yoder, 87, Elkhart, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Elkhart.
He was born August 31, 1925, in Niles, Mich., to Franklin and LaVelle (Baker) Yoder.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He had served as a medic in Italy. He was a cookie salesman for 30 years at Salerno Cookie Company in Elkhart.
He was married in 1947 to Kathryne Elizabeth Williams. She preceded him in death in 1978.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (Ron) Gingerich, Wolcottville; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vyvyan Larimer.
Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury.
Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury with Pastor Drew Ryall officiating.
Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
