Richard E. “Dick” Rossman, 83, Sturgis, Mich., died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Froh Community Home in Sturgis, Mich.
He was born April 30, 1930, in Sturgis, Mich., to Leo W. and Nina (Yoder) Rossman.
Living all his life in LaGrange County, Ind., and St. Joseph County, Mich., he retired from Ross-Labs/Abbott Labs in Sturgis, Mich., after 33 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sturgis, Mich.
He was married October 9, 1948, in Valentine, Ind., to Margaret Ringler. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Phillip Richardson, Sturgis, Mich., and Sue and Thomas Cripe, Sturgis, Mich.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard “Gary” Rossman, Centreville, Mich., and Tim and Debbey Rossman, Sturgis, Mich.; his grandchildren, Carrie Hale, Jeremi Hale, Kristy (Vireak) Kong, Dan (Marcia) Cripe, Cody (Lisa) Cripe; his great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Madison Hale, Taylor, Emmilee and Tommy Cripe, Briley and Wesson Cripe; one sister, Donna Frederick, Sun City, Ariz.; one brother, Robert Rossman, Hillsdale, Mich.; an aunt, Loma Yoder, Howe; and a special niece, Nancy Purcell, Sturgis, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl Dean and Chuck Rossman.
Memorial service was held Monday, December 9, at First Baptist Church in Sturgis, Mich., with Pastor James Bender officiating.
Burial is in Burr Oak Township Cemetery, Burr Oak, Mich.
