Richard L. Johnson, 72, Wolcottville, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence.
He was born August 16, 1942, in Plymouth, Ind., to Lewis M. and Goldie Maxine (Harms) Johnson.
Living most of his lifetime in the area, he retired after 43 years with Silgan Plastics in Ligonier, Ind.
He was married September 17, 1965, in South Milford, Ind., to Scharlotte F. Fultz. She preceded him in death on April 7, 1994. He was married December 3, 1995, in Avilla, Ind., to Karen Mae (Chaffee) Bruce. She survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving is one daughter, Janelle J. Johnson, Wolcottville; one stepdaughter, Heidi (Mike) Trivett, Topeka; one stepson, Harold L. Bruce, Topeka; five stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Shirley J. Nifong, Plymouth, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Beverly Snyder, and one brother, Dale Johnson.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 28, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 29, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Willie Collins officiating.
Burial will be in Woodruff Cemetery, rural Wolcottville.
