Reson4Hope receives gift

The Northeast LaGrange County Cooperative presented $1,000 from the proceeds from this summer’s Open Doors Car Cruise In to Reason 4 Hope in LaGrange.

The funds will assist with expenses of the recent community block parties which provided school supplies to over 550 students as wells as backpacks and classroom supplies to several area schools and preschools.

The funds will also help support Hope Café, which is open daily to provide a place to relax, to share and to receive encouragement. There are two Bible studies on Tuesdays, a movie/video time on Wednesdays, a full lunch time meal on Thursdays and a music, message and prayer time Thursday evenings. All activities are free and are supported by donations and volunteers.

The Northeast Lagrange County Cooperative is a local mission effort of a cluster of United Methodist churches in northeast Lagrange County.
