State Representative Denny Zent (R-Angola) was among 37 lawmakers selected to participate in an annual training program made up of state officials in the Midwest who show excellent promise. The 20th annual Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD) will be held in Madison, Wisc., Aug. 8-12.
“I feel honored to be chosen to participate in this competitive program,” said Rep. Zent. “This is a great chance to further develop leadership skills and gain greater understanding on a wide range of policy matters.”
Founded in 1995, BILLD is a national, non-partisan organization designed to help promising new legislators by providing leadership development courses as well as research and analysis of various policy issues, including the economy, education and health care.
“I look forward to meeting with lawmakers from all over the Midwest, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan,” Rep. Zent stated. “I anticipate learning a great deal from the folks in other states, while also having the opportunity to share with them Indiana’s tremendous success story.”
