Region III-A Development and Regional Planning Commission’s executive board has named Loren Kravig as executive director, effective Monday, Aug. 6.
Kravig is a long-time resident of Northeast Indiana who has extensive experience in economic and community development, acquired from more than 14 years working with the Ft. Wayne Redevelopment Commission and the Northeast Indiana Regional Coordinating Council.
Kravig is a licensed attorney and a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He also holds a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Ohio State University.
“I’m looking forward to working with the executive board and the communities in the region to advance the goals of the agency,” Kravig said.
Region III-A was established under state statute in 1974 by an agreement between LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties. Huntington County joined the organization in 1985, and Wabash County joined in 2010. The organization is focused on providing technical assistance for community and economic development, housing, and transportation projects to its member communities.
