Prairie Heights School Board welcomes seven new employees

The Prairie Heights School Board approved seven new employees and said goodbye to three others at their meeting on July 16.

 The new employees approved were Wendy McCrea as part-time Title I Reading Interventionist, Catherine Cross as Title I Math Interventionist, Devanie Stanner as part-time Title I Interventionist and part-time aide, Lindsey Martinez as a high school counselor, Alyssa O’Dell as an art teacher at the high school, David Buell as part-time high school social studies teacher, and Andy Scheidler as director of data accountability, technology and assessment.

The resignations of elementary school teacher Laura Rang and PHMS Assistant Principal Amy Bertram were accepted. The retirement from of high school teacher Cindy Lohse was also accepted.

The high school will soon have more laptops to work with. The council approved the motion to have a ratio of one laptop to every two students.
