Fifteen students were chosen to represent Prairie Heights Middle School at the Regional Science Fair held at Trine University on March 17.
The fifteen students were selected by the points awarded to them by the judges at their own Prairie Heights Middle School Science Fair on February 15. Prairie Heights’ students entered their school’s fair after months of work with their science and enrichment teachers.
The overall winner of the PHMS Science Fair was Andrea Ledgerwood, who has been working on her science fair project since October 2011. Her project on water quality testing represents over 65 hours of her hard work and also won her a special award of distinction from the LaGrange County Soil and Water Conservation District.
All students participating in the PHMS Science Fair were honored at a school convocation on February 17. All participants received certificates, grade level winners received ribbons, and overall winners received trophies.
