Prairie Heights girls down Central Noble

 

Prairie Heights capped off an 8-2 NECC girls basketball campaign Saturday evening with a 50-30 triumph over visiting Central Noble.

Leading by only four (18-14) over the winless Lady Cougars at halftime, coach Kevin Frey’s club put together a 9-3 spurt in the third quarter to up their margin to 10 (27-17). The Lady Panthers then salted away their 13th overall win of the season with a 23-13 surge during the final eight minutes.

Emily Dunne topped the Prairie Heights point column with 10. Tianna Terry, who nailed a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter, finished with nine markers.

Samantha Bortner’s nine tallies paced Central Noble.
