Prairie Heights Boys squeaks past West Noble

Woody Riha’s five-point outburst in the final minute lifted Prairie Heights past West Noble, 51-50 in a thrilling NECC boys basketball contest played Tuesday night in Brushy Prairie.

With his team trailing by four (50-46), Riha nailed a three-pointer to carve the gap to one. Riha then put the Panthers ahead with 10 seconds to play when he swished a couple of clutch free throws.

Riha finished with 14 points to pace Prairie Heights, which leveled its NECC mark at 2-2 and improved its season record to 2-5 with the win. Riha also made three steals and dished out three assists.

Kyler West and Ryan Day joined Riha in double figures on the Panther scoresheet with 11 and 10 tallies, respectively. Tyler Carbone led the winners on the glass with six rebounds.

Nick Noe topped West Noble with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
