The Prairie Heights varsity soccer team raised its season record to 2-0-1 with a 6-0 pasting of Central Noble Tuesday night in Brushy Prairie.
Christian Granados tallied twice in the opening half, helping stake the Panthers to a 4-0 lead. Spencer Lake, who assisted on Granados’ initial goal, scored a marker of his own off a corner kick by Enrique Castro. The other Heights score of the first half came when Central Noble accidently kicked the ball into its own goal.
Early in the second half, Granados earned a hat trick by converting a throw-in pass from Cory Burkholder into his third goal of the match. Another own goal by Central Noble completed the scoring.
Panther keeper Tyler Gingerich recorded his first shutout. Aiding his cause was stellar defensive play by Thomas Willet, Bo Murphy, Keegan Graham and Xavier Kain.
