Juvenile flees from counseling session

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted on October 8 regarding a juvenile runaway.

    According to the police report, a juvenile female and her mother were having a counseling session with their pastor at a building on CR 250N when the juvenile became upset and fled the building on foot.

    She was located a short time later at a nearby residence.

Property allegedly

removed from residence without permission

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by Michael Norris on October 8 regarding property removed from his residence on CR 1200E.

    According to the police report, Norris discovered several pieces of property had been taken from his residence while he was away. He allegedly told officers he suspects his ex-girlfriend took the missing items.

    During investigation, it was discovered both parties claimed ownership of the bunk beds and crockpot that were missing. A tacklebox could possibly still be in the residence with the remainder of the items the female subject was to remove.

    No charges are expected in this case. Norris was directed to civil court if he deemed that necessary.

Sheriff’s department investigating battery complaint at PHHS

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by the victim in a battery complaint at Prairie Heights High School on October 9.

    According to the police report, the victim and another student got into a fight at the school.

    This case is still under investigation.

Juvenile reported as runaway

    Shortly before 6 p.m. on October 13, Samuel Yoder of CR 300W called the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department to report that his 16-year-old son had run away from sometime between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day.

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the incident.

Person leaves gas station without paying for gasoline

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by Duck’s C Store and More in Stroh on October 11 regarding a driveoff.

    According to the police report, a customer had driven off without paying for gasoline pumped into a vehicle. The vehicle was located later in the day and the driver admitted to getting gas. During the investigation, it was discovered that the debit card used had been rejected. The driver of the vehicle returned to the gas station and paid for the gasoline.

    There will be no charges filed at the request of store management.

Irrigation supplies stolen

    The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted on October 11 regarding stolen irrigation supplies.
