Plan commission, BZA not meeting in December

Following a decision at last week’s LaGrange County Plan Commission meeting, it was announced that both the plan commission and the LaGrange County BZA will not meet in December.

In other plan commission business:

The commission approved a site plan for Allen and Luella Petersheim at 2700N 200E in LaGrange for an expansion of a storage barn production business.

A site plan for Freeman and Amy Yoder at 2150W 150N in LaGrange was approved for a confined feeding operation (CFO) for an additional 2,000-head wean to finish hog operation.

 The commission also passed two zoning ordinance amendments with positive recommendations to the LaGrange County Commissioners, who were expected to vote on them Monday morning.

The first was amending the county’s flood plain plan.

The second amendment changes dog kennels from a permitted use to requiring a land use variance.
