PHMS students of the month

On April 13, Prairie Heights Middle School students, parents, and staff celebrated the 6th Student of the Month convocation of the year.

Students of the Month for April are eighth graders Shelby Roby and Zeb Domer, seventh graders Brandon Oster and Havanna Kleeberg, sixth graders Lydia Johnston and Zach Smith, and fifth graders Kodi Engle and Kaitlyn Rumsey.

Students of the Month are chosen by their teachers based on effort, citizenship, and academic progress. These eight students were honored in a school-wide convocation which parents of the honorees were also invited to attend. These students received words of praise, certificates, Panther Pride items such as water bottles, pens, and dog tags, as well as community donated prizes.

Another 20 students, five from each grade level, were recognized for individual situations where they gave their personal best. All students who receive Personal Best slips are entered in a drawing at the end of the year for a $50 gift card.

To date, Prairie Heights Middle School has honored a total of 384 students for their positive contributions.
